FOR TRUST AND FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN TWO NATIONS
The Society was founded in December 1990. The founding members are
individuals, organizations and corporations located in the Tohoku Region of Japan.


 OBJECTIVE
The Tohoku Canada‐Japan Society is a non-profit organization established to
encourage mutual understanding and friendship between the Tohoku Region of Japan and Canada through exchanges in culture.

Sponsor lectures and seminars
Topics include Canadian life,culture,economy and education.

Collect and provide information
“Maple”, the society’s newsletter is distributed periodically to all members.

Sponsor cultural events
The society holds cultural events to promote cultural exchange.
Help strengthen commercial links between Tohoku and Canada
The society, in cooperation with the Canadian Embassy and other organizations, helps industries in Tohoku and Canada exchange information about economy and trade, and develops communications and business opportunities.


 MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Tohoku Canada-Japan Society is open to any individual, organization, and company who shares the Society’s objectives. Please contact the Tohoku Canada-Japan Society for further information.
